Network and Systems Administrator
Location: Ft. Washington, MD
Work Status: Full-Time

Job Description:
Establish, maintain and manage classified and unclassified network systems in accordance with DoD/NSA IT regulations to support an ITC staff and student population as required
Develop and test IT hardware/software systems
Maintain and troubleshoot classified and unclassified networks
Monitor new hardware and software technologies and recommend system upgrades
Maintain internal network systems security in accordance with applicable DoD/NSA computer security regulations
Develop and maintain network communication systems
Update databases, software tools and overall system
Perform market surveys/studies and provide recommendations for new and improved software to enhance ITC IT capabilities
Identify hardware/software systems to enhance ITC IT capabilities
Provide day-to-day technical support to ITC LAN users
Maintain internal and external e-mail and internet systems using Microsoft Outlook
Provide status reports on classified and unclassified network upgrades
Develop and implement an Information System Security Plan (ISSP_ in accordance with DoD/NSA computer security regulations
Coordinate ADP security requirements with the ITC Security Officer in accordance with DoD/NSA computer security regulations
As required, submit appropriate paperwork for procurement of items needed for training
Provide support to academic operations as required
Job Requirements:
TS/SCI with life style polygraph prior to any access to NSA/CSS SCIFs & TS/SCI systems, in case of prev. Fed. service, CCA w/CI poly will be accepted pending life style poly.
Proficiency in planning and organizing work;
Proficiency in coping with a changing environment and short deadlines
Proficiency in utilizing standard Microsoft Office Suite software products
Proficiency in working independently as well as a member of a team
Proficiency in communicating effectively with others both orally and in writing
5 years experience in network and systems administration and in-depth knowledge of DoD/NSA's Information System policies
OR
Bachelor's degree in computer science or information system technology
Current skills in the Microsoft Suite
