Senior Engineer

Location: Ft. Meade, MD
Work Status: Full-Time

Job Requirements:
A full lifestyle polygraph security clearance is MANDATORY for this position. The successful candidate must have the following experience:
a. A minimum of 15 years experience as an Engineer, with a solid understanding of communications, and a top to bottom understanding and experience with digital signal processing systems hardware and software architectures, development and integration.
b. A minimum of 10 years of hands on experience with digital signal processing systems software including any Texas Instruments TMS320x Digital Signal Processors and associated TI real-time library, PowerPC’s in a Digital Signal Processing environment with a real time operation system (i.e. as VxWorks), or equivalent processor and operating system
c. Specific knowledge of digital signal processing hardware and software components and technology including Analog to Digital conversion, sampling rate, digital filtering, and other associated demod and post-demod processes.
d. Specific knowledge of industry standard COTS system hardware and software interfaces, busses (i.e. VME, CPCI, PMC) and distributed signal processing architectures.
e. Knowledge of software development lifecycle, demonstrated project management and leadership skills, strong communication and organizational skills.
f. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a individual contributor and in a team setting working in a multi-tasking environment
g. General knowledge of programming and analysis techniques with knowledge of UNIX, VxWorks and C on a variety of hardware platforms including Sun, PowerPC, TI TMS320x and standard NT Platforms.
